Tour Our Homestead
Come Walk the Land with Us
Ever wonder what off-grid living really looks like? Not the curated Pinterest version, but the real thing: firewood piles, compost bins, fences held together with baler twine, and food growing in every available corner? Our guided tours are your chance to step onto the land and see it all for yourself.
We’re not tour guides by trade. We’re homesteaders. But we love sharing what we’ve built and giving folks a close-up look at how a small, self-sufficient setup can actually work. No fluff, no greenwashing, and no BS. Just a real day on the land.
Tours will be launching soon. In the meantime, here’s what you can expect when we open the gates.
What You’ll See
Our tours are designed to give you a well-rounded look at what day-to-day life looks like on a working off-grid homestead. Depending on the season, weather, and which animals are cooperating, you’ll get to see:
If it looks a little scrappy in places, that’s because it is. And that’s the point. We’re not trying to impress anyone. We’re showing you what it actually takes to make this life work.
Our Courses
What You’ll Learn
We keep our tours practical and honest. There’s no script. Just a conversation as we walk, talk, and answer your questions along the way. Some of the topics that usually come up include:
- What it really takes to go off-grid (and how to start without selling everything you own)
- Growing enough food to make a dent in your grocery bill
- How to keep animals without losing your mind or your fence line
- How we built up our systems over time without debt
- Mistakes we’ve made and what we wish we had known sooner
- The daily rhythm of homesteading and how we divide up the work
We’ll also talk about mindset. Because if you’re serious about building this kind of life, you need more than just tools. You need the right attitude to handle the curveballs.
Who This is For
These tours are for people who want to see behind the curtain. Whether you’re dreaming of your own homestead or just curious about how things work off-grid, this is your chance to ask questions, get real answers, and leave with a clearer picture of what it all looks like in action.
It’s also a great way to dip your toes in before taking one of our courses. If you’re on the fence about chickens, food storage, or any of it, come walk the land first. You might surprise yourself.
Families, solo folks, beginners, and skeptics are all welcome. Just be ready to walk, get a bit muddy, and ask as many questions as you want.
What to Bring
We’ll cover this in more detail when booking opens, but here’s the short version:
- Sturdy footwear you don’t mind getting dirty
- Weather-appropriate gear. Rain, sun, or snow, we’re out in it
- A notebook, if you want to take notes
- Your curiosity and a good sense of humour
Tours will last about two hours, give or take, and we’ll keep the groups small, so everyone gets a chance to engage. This isn’t a guided bus ride. It’s an invitation to spend real time with us, up close and hands-on.
When and How to Book
Tours are coming soon. We’re finishing up a few things on the property and getting our booking system ready.
Once we’re live, you’ll be able to choose from scheduled group tours or book a private one if you’ve got a crew that wants to come together. Pricing, dates, and details will be posted right here.
If you want to be first in line when bookings open, sign up for our email list. We’ll let you know as soon as tour spots are available, and since space is limited, being on the list is your best shot at grabbing a spot.
Final Note
This isn’t a show farm. It’s our home. When you visit, you’re seeing things the way they are: clutter, weather, dust, and all. We believe that’s exactly what makes it worth sharing.
If you’re tired of reading about self-reliance and want to see it in action, we’d love to have you out here. Come walk the land, ask questions, and get a real feel for what this life looks like.
Tours are coming soon. Stick around. This will be worth it.
